Date: Wednesday 12 March 2014
Venue: Science Gallery, Trinity College Dublin, Dublin 2 (See location here)

The MMI Education & Training Annual Scientific Meeting brings together our research students, with clinical and non-clinical backgrounds and based in five academic institutions, alongside the broader clinical & translational research community. The result is a stimulating day of research presentations, briefings on key infrastructures and opportunities to discuss your work in a national and international context.

The meeting features:

Short presentations and posters from MMI Clinical & Translational Research Scholars
Talks from MMI Clinician Scientist Fellowship Programme Alumni
Posters from the wider clinical and translational research community
Keynote address from Dr Willard Dere (Senior Vice-President and International Chief Medical Officer, Amgen)
Keynote address from Professor John Iredale (Professor of Medicine at the University of Edinburgh and Director of the MRC Centre for Inflammation Research)
Learn more about key initiatives such as the Wellcome Trust/HRB Dublin Centre for Clinical Research and ICRIN
All those with an interest in clinical and translation research and in developing careers as clinician scientists are welcome.

For Clinicians, GPs & Health Workers currently involved in research at any level, and those not yet involved but contemplating it, this is an excellent opportunity to learn more about patient-focused research facilitated nationally by MMI.
