CRDI awards Open Badges to Short Course Coordinators

CRDI Short Courses are designed for those with an interest in biomedical research, including graduate students, post-doctoral researchers, academic, clinical and industry staff.  Course material is delivered by subject matter experts, both national and international, drawn from multiple institutions and including academia and industry. Course delivery formats include lecture-based and e-Learning.

CRDI Short Courses illustrate a significant strand of collaborative education and training in clinical and translational research since 2003.

In order to formally recognise contributions to said training, in addition to participants, CRDI is committed to develop Open Badges (connected and verifiable credentials represented in portable image files shareable across the web) for course faculty.

In that respect CRDI recently awarded 'CRDI Short Course Coordinator' Open Badges to the academic coordinators of the following CRDI Short Courses:

        • Techniques Strategies in Molecular Medicine - Coordinator: Prof Ross McManus (TCD)
        • Case Studies in Drug Discovery & Development - Coordinator: Prof David Brayden (UCD)
        • EU Regulation of Medical Devices - Coordinator: Dr Anne-Marie Miller (CRDI)
        • Fundamentals in Medical Device Design and Regulation - Coordinator: Dr Manus Biggs (NUI Galway)

CRDI Open Badge: CRDI Short Course Coordinator

This badge is awarded to individuals who have successfully coordinated a CRDI Short Course.
