HRB Working Groups End of Year Meeting

On 11 December 2019 HRB Clinical Research Coordination Ireland held its annual End of Year Working Groups Meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to provide members from all of the eight working groups an opportunity to learn of the activities, updates and achievements made by each group throughout 2019.

Held at the Alex Hotel in Dublin over a half day session, attendees were informed of updates with presentations by the chairs of each working group. Additionally, representatives from the Clinical Research Facilities/Centres within the network gave updates on their activities during 2019 and plans for 2020.

As well as participating in the discussions, the group enjoyed some entertainment from our short competition of  ‘Know your Science’. which our colleague Olivia McLoughlin from Cancer Trials Ireland won. Congrats Olivia.

Finally, we would like to thank everyone who attended on the day and a wider thank you to those who participated in our working groups during 2019. The knowledge and expertise of these working groups are critical for supporting the ongoing development of clinical research in Ireland.
